Almost in Austin

Dee called last night. They are getting close to Austin. They've had some rain showers but I think the coolness is welcome in the heat. Today will be a shorter day than planned 45 miles vs. 70, as several riders have gotten somewhat fatigued and could use a bit of a break from the pace. Dee said she's been feeling pretty strong but also welcomes the respite of a lower mileage day. Some of these pics are from earlier in the ride but still give a sense of the scenery. Take care, Rob.

Hey Dee,

I see the bikes parked at endless pancakes, hope the group got back on the bikes. Keep on pedaling !! Sue and Mary are performing a little cottage action this weekend, I'm sure the two of them would have liked you along. Well kiddo, continue to out perform 99.9 percent of the world. Uncle Dave....

Just thought I'd tell you, Dick & rode around the lake at North Park one morning last week. We huffed & puffed up the tiny hills and thought of you zooming up mountains!! When we finished I noticed my odometer (which I can't turn back to zero) has 96 miles on it...that would be since last July! So you know how in awe we are of the mileage you are covering. CSK & I hope to get the group out next Wed. Hope the weather cooperates. We CELEBRATED 1/2 way today at Curves.
Best wishes to all the riders on the downhill side of the trip. Peg M

Hello My Friend! Got your card-Love you, Love you...Kali and I had a great catching up time, which we have to do more of. I know she is in the midst of brutal finals, hope it is over by now.
It was good to hear your voice. The wildflowers are beautiful. (Thanks Ladybird Johnson.)Texas-Big Bend, Padre Island, Aransas, I think of you every day. Can't wait to talk over coffee. I can still hear you whistle. Love, Mitch
